Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transport and Architecture n.a. N. Isanov (KSUCTA) was established on May 4, 1992. It was formed out of the Kyrgyz Architectural-Construction Institute (KACI), which in turn developed out of the Architectural and Construction faculties of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute (FPI established in 1954).
In January 1998 KACI has been converted into KSUCTA.

By the President’s Decree of the Kyrgyz Republic of October, 17 2008 the university was named after Nasirdin Isanov, the first Prime Minister of sovereign Kyrgyzstan. Due to continued success in training qualified personnel and leading mass media of Kyrgyzstan, the rector of KSUCTA was named the best rector of Asia, and the university was named the best university of Kyrgyzstan in 2007 and 2008, and the best university of Central Asia in 2010.

The University, as a leading Higher Educational Institution of the country is dynamically developing, has a modern material-technical and information base, cohesive and highly qualified academic staff.

Today the university administration is a team of innovative, loyal and enthusiastic people professionals. All the achievements of recent years were largely predetermined by decisions of administration, starting in April 2005 and their implementation consistent with the active support of all staff of the University.

Continuing long-term national traditions of preparation of technical shots in the field of building, architecture, economy, management, ecology, transport, innovative and an information technology, the university brings the essential contribution to business of social and economic development of the country.

As the active member of the International association of building high schools of CIS КSUCTA carries out preparation of highly-skilled personnel within the limits of performance of the Intergovernmental Contract on the Customs Union and Uniform economic space on the basis of the corresponding harmonized educational standards, curricula and programs which are directed on realization of principles of the Bolonya declaration. Training is conducted by forces of six institutes and four faculties on 44 chairs on 64 specialties and profiles in 18 directions of preparation.

At our university modern laboratories and the centres in the field of IT technologies, geoinformation systems, geodesies, preservations of the environment, training -  advisory centre «Knauf-KSUCTA n.a. N.Isanov» on studying high technologies and innovative decisions of internal furnish by modern finishing materials for the account grant  means of Russia, India, Sweden, Austria, Germany, France, the USA, China and the international educational programs and projects in the area of the European educational program DAAD, TASIS ТЕМPUS, ТRASEKA, the American engineering - information Fund and Fund of civil researches are created. The university is the basic local co-ordinator and the executor of these international educational projects. The total sum of realised educational grants makes about 12 million US dollars.

КSUСТА n.a. N.Isanov  is accepted to European Magna Charta Universitatum, in 2011

In Kyrgyzstan for the first time in directions of bachelors preparation for computer science of the Kyrgyz - German faculty of computer science, our university has passed international accreditation in German accreditation agency on higher education on engineering, computer science and surely – in technical  sciences (ASIN).

At our university innovative educational programs, the state educational standards of the third generation on the basis of competence and electronic educational - methodical training complexes under «PROMETEI» program are created. Innovative technologies system of remote formation are created and the Center transfer of scientifically - educational technologies is created. The continuous education system «school – college - high school» takes root. The Center of marketing and career development successfully is engaged in analyzing a labor market, employers and employment requirements for graduates.

The university gives particular attention to social problems solution: the Youth centre, student's trade union, campus, the medical centre, training classes and others work for students. The university Youth centre unites Committee on youth affairs., student's committees of institutes, Eco-club, SIFE team, national dancing ensemble "USTA", national folklore ensemble «Academy of talents», choral studio and KVN commands. University honor by various kinds of sports is protected by masters of sport and champions of the Asian and European games.

It gives a lot of possibilities for our students to get quality education for development of all creative talents and abilities, for strengthening friendship between university multinational students’s collective and with students from other high schools of our republic.

The best students can become Presidential and N. Isanov grants winners. Conditions for training, practical work and internship in  one of the European partner universities for participation of university in the international project with corresponding certificates, for participation in scientific research conferences and competitions, with admission to master studies are created.

Students, academic staff and university employees actively participate in the International projects of «МАNЕCА» academic mobility under ERASMUS МUNDUS and TARGET programs (doctorate, post-doctorate and academic staff) with grants for studying, scientific researches and internships at the European universities.

Our graduates work in many countries around the world, and within the republic they occupy state posts of: deputy-prime minister, ministers of various ministries and state agencies, deputies of parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic, governors of oblasts and heads of many big companies and enterprises.

Since the independence of Kyrgyzstan our university has trained more than 10 thousand experts with higher education, it is also a major source of scientific and pedagogical shots. There are functioning doctoral and candidate dissertational councils in 10 specialties.

University collective have more than 600 teachers, among them  leading and recognized scientists of Kyrgyzstan, academicians of the International academies, doctors of sciences, professors, winners of state and international awards, honored workers of science and education, culture and candidates of sciences.

The Kyrgyz mission of ANO VPO «Eurasian open institute» on  remote training technology on the basis of КSUСТА perform a selection and preparation of experts in the form extern the Moscow state university of economy, statistics and computer science (МЭСИ).

Scientific and the educational -methodical literature, textbooks, monographers, educational - methodical grants, recommendations for students, in a state language including are published regularly at the university. The periodic scientific magazine        « КSUCТА Bulletin » and social - information newspaper «USTA media» are published regular.  Patent license service assists scientific employees and students with preparation and registration of proposals for inventions and provides them with patent technical information for performing scientific researches and experienced design works.
